Hello Kaspians! Welcome to the fifth release of Kaspa Weekly! Today we'll tell you when the Crescendo upgrade is going to be activated on mainnet and share some learning resources if you're looking to get started on your technical Kaspa journey. On March 27th, Michael Sutton announced on X that Rusty Kaspa version 1.0.0 will be released on March 31st, and that it has the Crescendo activation hardcoded at DAA score of 110165000, which translates to approximately May 5th at 3PM UTC. This upgrade is amongst one of the most anticipated upgrades by the Kaspa Community, because it changes the block production rate from 1 block per second to 10 blocks per second, allowing for significantly higher throughput and confirmation times.
